You did it!! Stretch Goal #1 UNLOCKED!!
about 2 months ago – Sun, Oct 27, 2024 at 06:10:44 PM

Hi everyone!!

You did it! First Stretch Goal... GONE!!

That means you have unlocked more content from Bob. This content focuses on the town of Emerson/Shadowfalls and provides more tools and location information for the GM to handle nonlinear stuff like exploring the town. It also comes with a map of the town, which will be added to the Poster Map Pack as well (bringing that up to FOUR maps).

Exciting stuff for sure!!

Closing in on the first Stretch Goal and A New Pledge Level
about 2 months ago – Sun, Oct 27, 2024 at 10:42:18 AM

Hello everyone!!

Thanks again for all of your support this far!

Yesterday evening, while I was watching the 1978 classic sci-fi horror movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers, I got a message from Bob Brinkman that Heroic Adventure #1 - Evil Never Does was officially, totally done (pending my editorial review)/

This sucker clocks in at nearly 23,000 words. While I was reading it this morning and considering what additional art to order, Bob messaged me to say "Oh wait, there's one more thing I want to add some detail  on" because that's just how Bob rolls. The man is an absolute ly dedicated master of his craft and he won't be happy until he delivers the best, wildest, most grueling (but fun, right Bob?) adventure you've ever seen.

The process is basically something like this:
Bob writes, I read, Bob revises, I read, Bob says it's done, I laugh, Bob laughs, it's a good time.

But all that to say, it's done (aside from a few paragraphs) and I'm excited to really start my analysis of it. Then it goes through editing, layout, final proofreading (just to be sure) and playtesting (which happens at the same time). We are definitely on schedule, if not a little ahead. At this rate (because, again, Bob is a MACHINE) we may have the stretch goal content done before the end of the BackerKit campaign, which means no delays (but I'm not promising anything yet) provided we HIT THE STRETCH GOAL which brings me to...

We are quickly closing in on the We Want Moar stretch goal, which means Bob will be adding an extra map and more pages of details about the town of Emerson / Shadowfalls. This double adventure is already packed full of awesome stuff, but this stretch goal gives GMs even more to work with, should their players wish to explore the town a bit more.

Also...

This morning, I opened up a new Pledge Level, specifically for Retail Sales. Whether you own a FLGS (friendly local game store), or you do online sales, or perhaps you sell at conventions... maybe you do all those things (I admire your hustle)... this is the Pledge Level you want.

In addition to multiple copies of Evil Never Dies, the Map Pack, and the Phlogistonic Energy Dice at wholesale price, I'm throwing in a few other goodies for stores as well.

You can check out the Retailer Pledge Level here.

We will reach out to verify that you are selling at least somewhere... Ebay, Facebook, your physical store, conventions, etc. We will try to make this as easy as possible for you.

That's it for now!  Talk to you soon.

We've Funded!! New Add-ons! Now Targeting Stretch Goal #1!
about 2 months ago – Sat, Oct 26, 2024 at 07:16:46 AM

Hi Everyone!!

First off, thank you so much for backing this project and pushing us across our funding goal. We definitely could do it without each of you!

We're already on our way to hitting Stretch Goal #1 - We Want Moar! which features additional book content from Bob Brinkman and a new map from Brett Hess (which will also appear in the Poster Map Pack at no extra charge, so be sure to pick that up if you haven't already). Naturally, new content means new art, so expect to see some more of Dan Smith's amazing work in the book as well, but ONLY if we hit that stretch goal!

I think we can do it, but who cares what I think? You guys are the only ones that can make it happen!

We added a new add-on earlier: Immortalized in Art, which is for an art cameo in the adventure, so if you ever wanted the world to see what you would look like as a villager (or a corpse, whatever... we don't judge) then you'll want to check that out. There are only a handful of those available so act fast.

This morning, we introduced another add-on: The Phlogistonic Energy set of 14 DCC Dice. The design may look familiar to some of you as these have been previously released as Typhoon, but we loved the look of them so much we asked Impact Miniatures if we could create a new insert specifically for Evil Never Dies AND offer them to you at a discount. They loved the idea and Bob is writing the insert so you know it's going to be awesome. Be sure to grab those while you can.1

Thanks everyone and Happy Saturday.

Chris

We've added a very special add-on to the project.
about 2 months ago – Thu, Oct 24, 2024 at 01:01:50 PM

Hey everyone,

I can't believe we are so close to funding. I can almost reach out and touch it. (Believe me, if BackerKit allowed creators to back their own projects,... this would be a much different email.)

The Add-on
How would you like to appear in Evil Never Dies? You might show up as a villager, or an adventurer, or a corpse (if you have a preference, let us know.)

I've added a special LIMITED add-on that only a few people can get before it goes away. Grab it before it goes away and you will be immortalized within the pages of Evil Never Dies forever.

I'm giving you, our loyal supporters, first crack before I email blast the rest of the known world.

Spread the word about Evil Never Dies
I appreciate everyone that has backed this project so far. I'm not asking you to throw more money at it (though I won't turn it down either) but what I AM asking is for some help getting the word out there.

If you are excited about Evil Never Dies, DCC RPG, Bob Brinkman, poster maps, or inexplicably well selling orange t-shirts then please, please, please share a link to the project on your social platform(s) of choice.

Thanks,

Chris
